What is the Property Tax Rate in Sherman Oaks , CA?

The quick answer is 1.25% of the Puchase Price of the Sherman Oaks Condo.  This is paid in two installments and due in April and Decemeber of each year.  The subsequent year of the purchase, the Purchase Price for the property tax calcution can go up 2% and then taxed at 1.25%.  This is the law under Proposition 13 in the whole state of California.  There are some locations that have additional taxes for building of infrastructure for a new developlent - this is called Mello Roos.
